Winter Mandarin Duck Heartopia Location

Finding this rare species of Duck requires some preparation before you start your search. You must first unlock the Birdwatching Hobby and advance it to Level 2. Unlike the other Winter Birds that appear randomly throughout the world, the Winter Mandarin Duck is connected to a specific event progression.
Locate Bailey J’s Birdwatching device and interact with it to begin the Winter Birdwatching Event. This event allows you to discover and observe all of Heartopia’s Winter Birds in their natural habitats.
The Winter Mandarin Duck won’t show up right away. You’ll need to progress through the event until it enters the Extra Phase Photography stage. During this phase, uncommon bird species begin appearing around the Suburban lake area.
When this phase activates, take your time exploring the lake’s perimeter. The duck typically spawns in the water itself, so have your camera equipped and ready to photograph this charming waterfowl. The most distinctive feature for identifying the Winter Mandarin Duck is the bright blue winter cap it wears.
How to Capture the Winter Mandarin Duck in Heartopia
Successfully locating the Winter Mandarin Duck is just the first step—earning a high-star scan requires some strategy. Wait for the duck to move around in the water before scanning. Capturing it while it’s actively repositioning or from an optimal angle will boost your star ratings significantly.
If you scan too quickly and photograph the Winter Mandarin Duck while it’s sitting still, you’ll likely receive a lower star rating. Fortunately, you can attempt multiple scans. The Duck remains available for repeated captures throughout the event duration, giving you plenty of opportunities to improve your collection with higher-quality information cards.
